The (not) so usefull links
Maybe it an idea to start a thread with links which has more or less to do with Deli (cate) Linux. I start with http://box-look.org/index.php?xcontentmo...0038402288

In case you need another IceWM theme.

RE: The (not) so usefull links
Thanks ... I've been searching for better themes too and have some of them prepared for future theme variations.

RE: The (not) so usefull links
Need more games, and not afraid of './configure' 'make' and 'make install' (or even better make a PKGBUILD too share it).
Take a look at here: http://www.libsdl.org/games.php
Lot's of games are just using the SDL libraries, so that shouldn't be a problem with Delicate.
Note: Keep in mind that some games need more than just a 486 with 48mb.

A source of PKGBUILD's:
http://aur.archlinux.org

Not all of them are usefull (dependencies etc.) but sometimes you can easily convert them to Delicate.

The same applies to http://archlinux.org
It's better to prefer this link, because it seems to contain software tested by the Arch quality assurance team (if they have such team ... but it's at least more official than AUR). AUR is something like a user repository and could contain broken software. Only if the PKGBUILD is not available at http://archlinux.org, then try to search in the AUR.

True, but sometimes the AUR contains 'lighter' PKGBUILDs (with less dependencies) so I guess it won't hurt to check them both. If Delicate has the libraries then it's obvious to use the 'normal' PKGBUILD. Sometimes it's not too hard to compile a few libraries (If they're missing), but once in a while I've been lost in a spaghetti of libraries/dependencies :]
I guess that's the moment to look in the AUR for a more stripped down version and compare them, otherwise I'll end up with an almost Archlinux or in an Ambulance with people dressed in white clothes who are trying to calm me down Tongue

RE: The (not) so usefull links
Well an old tip from the blog from K.Mandla:

http://packages.debian.org/squeeze

It can be handy to look for packages and see what the dependencies are. On the right collum of the page, you can find other usefull stuff too. Screenshots, original homepage and similar packages.

A similar site is:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/

NB: You can replace squeeze and lucid by newer versions but I prefer to look at the stable and lTS first.
