Acer Extensa 368D
CPU: Pentium MMX 233 MHz
RAM: 80 MB Floppy: no floppy drive Cdrom: works PCMCIA: works Modules needed: ds yenta_socket In pcmciaconfig, select "kernel built-in modules" USB: Mass Storage not working for one type of flash drive (Kensington DataTraveler) but works when used with a usb hub. Human Interface Device working (usb mouse) Modules needed: hid usb_ohci usb-storage sd_mod Sound: works Modules needed: sound dmabuf=1 opl3 io=0x388 opl3sa2 mss_io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=7 mpu_io=0x330 In sndconfig, select "OPL3-SA2/3/x" This selection works, but it includes an extra setting "CONTROL I/O" which results in a final term of "io=0x370" or "io=0x380" in the opl3sa2 line of /etc/modules.conf. Sound still works with this extra term, but it gives lots of warning messeges in dmesg. To get rid of these messages, just delete that final term so that the opl3sa2 line of /etc/modules.conf looks like the one above. Video: works Xorg drivers: vesa neomagic Xfbdev works faster than full Xorg Xvesa doesn't work with Neomagic video card. Touchpad: works Xorg device file: /dev/psaux Use apm to turn off power at shutdown |
