Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it that the Netsurf-SDL (or the idea for a framebuffer-browser) was more or less your baby?

Yes took me quite a lot of time. But I don't know wether someone likes it ? Heard tavvva that he hoped it was getting faster because of the things he had done. Otherwise through it away if you don't like it. Easy as that Smile

Ok Sad

Well I do like it, but it isn't that we always get response on what we're doing. An example, if everybody who downloaded Delicate would register to this forum I believe I can see the smoke from a serverroom in the Czech republic overhere in the Netherlands. I believe it's pretty much the same with other Linux distros.

So ... we lost Compact. It's apparent he was missing a positive feedback. I always comment only the mistakes or finetunings and then it probably looks like the most important work is done by me. If you guys have the same feelings, then I'm sorry.

I don't have that feelings...
I'm sharing my 'fun', and if it's not 100% well than it's alright that someone is checking it. :]
I don't expect anything, we all have our busy things so it's *in my opinion* the most important thing that it's free from bugs etc.

I didn't and don't follow the whole story, but one of things I picked up :
Delicate can't use PKGBUILD files any longer -- right ?

Well that's not exactly true.
There are some improvements mostly in case of the new 'menugenerator'.
So the PKGBUILD (oldstyle) will work, but to make a 100% PKGBUILD there must be a few lines added to it. One is for the desktop file, and a couple of icon files (16x16, 32x32 xpm and a png file). Those are the biggest changes. It's very userfriendly for new users :]

---> EDIT: I can change the "PIM' to the 'new-style' PKGBUILD that's easier to understand Smile

that would be nice of you ... it could demonstrate the changes ... since compact removed his howtos, i'm unsure if i should use the information contained in my local copy of that howto and put it in the howto section .... maybe we could do that with your notes?
